HOUSING CRISIS: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED NOW
In March Canada launched a temporary residence pathway to admit Ukrainians fleeing the war. There is no government-funded housing for Ukrainians arriving in Toronto. These new arrivals often have no choice but to stay in a homeless shelter.
We need your help in helping these vulnerable people, who have survived war. We need you to provide them shelter – temporary, short term, long term, whatever you can give will be appreciated.
Please consider sheltering Ukrainians in need of a place to stay. Please answer the questions in the survey below.
WELCOME NEWCOMERS: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED NOW
Here’s your chance to make a real difference in the lives of Ukrainians arriving in Toronto!
Every day flights land with Ukrainians who need a friendly face and key information. The UCC Welcome Desk at Pearson Airport, Terminal 1, needs welcoming volunteers to greet these newcomers.
Fill out the Pearson Welcoming Volunteer Contact Form with your availability and contact information. Training is provided.
